We are delighted to share that we have been shortlisted by The Chartered Institute of Housing for their Scottish Excellence Awards. Our Values Framework has lined us up to take the Excellence in Organisational Change award. Ypeople are in the running with other great organisations, which makes this recognition all the more special.
We are so proud of the changes Ypeople have made across the whole organisation by introducing our Values Framework. Our new values were launched via a series of roadshows across Scotland for staff, helping them understand the part they would play in Ypeople’s future and evaluated via employee engagement questionnaires. Through this we were able to pinpoint our 5 core values; Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Aspiration, and Reflection.
Respect: We treat everyone fairly and value diversity
Integrity: We are honest, professional. And our actions are guided by best practice
Compassion: We understand people’s life journey’s and show kindness to everyone
Aspiration: We strive to be the best, for our staff, those we work with, and partners
Reflective: We learn and adapt, embrace change and celebrate success
These values now underpin all Ypeople’s work at every level of the organisation. This has been particularly beneficial to our work around Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs). In Scotland, Ypeople has pioneered the implementation of PIE services which are designed to recognise the emotional and psychological needs of individuals, particularly those who have experienced complex trauma.
The values have become part of our everyday language across the organisation informing everything from the day to day operations, to our recruitment, staff relationships, and even how we share content with you our wider audience.
Thank you once again to the Chartered Institute of Housing for shortlisting us for Scottish Excellence. We look forward to attending the CIH awards ceremony on the 25th October alongside our fellow nominees.< back
