Ypeople Annual Charity Golf Day Raises £7,500!

11th September 2019

It was only two weeks ago that Ypeople hosted the 9th Annual Charity Golf Event. This year we were fortunate enough to be hosted by the lovely team at Cawder Golf Club. Despite the storm forecast and some very heavy rain to play through a great day was had by all.

Our annual Golf day is an opportunity to fundraise for special projects and events that take place throughout the year. Funds raised go towards starter packs for our Glasgow Key Fund, which help people settle into their new homes. They also go towards days out for young people supported by the intandem mentoring project, and provide new opportunities and experiences for those in supported accommodation. Only last month a group of young people and their support workers from Branston Court, and Quarriers in Glasgow completed the West Highland Way. This is a huge achievement for everyone involved and something which could not have happened without this kind of financial support.

The golf day is an opportunity for organisations from across Scotland to come together to play 18 holes while fundraising to support the life changing work that we do.

This year their support contributed to an incredible total of £7,500 being raised, all of which will go towards those we work with.

We can’t say thank you enough to those who came to play through the rain for this good cause. It’s appreciated by the whole of the Ypeople team, and especially by those we support.

See you next year!
