Highland Reach Out is a community-based outreach housing support programme. We work with people in the Highland Council area with anyone aged 16+ who are living in their own home or in temporary accommodation. We have bases in Lochaber, Wick and Inverness.
Our programme aims to prevent and reduce homelessness, enabling individuals to live independently in permanent accommodation. Rather than just providing basic housing support, we aim to improve the quality of life of those we work with, helping them link to health, education and employment services and to participate in their local community. The work we do is rooted in engagement and is person-centred.
Assistance is offered with tenancy set up, advice on safety and security of the property, accessing health and money advice services as well as education and employment opportunities.
We work alongside other local stakeholders including Highland Council Care, Women’s Aid, NHS Highland and Skills Development Scotland.
Referrals come via Highland Council, but if you’d like to contact our team directly you can get in touch:

“Everything is looking up really starting to enjoy life at the moment”
“Thanks so much for all your help. I’d still be sitting in a house with no furniture or carpets without you. You’re definitely a credit to Ypeople and have got so much sorted out for me that I wasn’t fit to do”
