Branston Court supported accommodation

Branston Court supported accommodation provides 24-hour support to Glasgow’s young people, many of whom are affected by multiple family-related social and personal issues.

Funded by Glasgow City Council, Branston Court in Maryhill offers a safe environment for 22 people. Young people are provided with opportunities to take part in tenancy sustainment workshops, as well as group work which helps to enhance their self-esteem and their budgeting and financial skills. In addition, service users are supported with access to external agencies who can assist them with health, education and social care issues.

Internal referrals to Glasgow Reach Out [link to GRO page] also allow us to support people ready to transition from Branston Court into a tenancy of their own, with less intensive support. We aim to build confidence and provide life skill development and opportunities to progress into managing a secure tenancy.

This is my first time being homeless. When I got to Branston Court, I felt sick. As soon as staff came and made the time to get to know me, I felt good.

Being here has made me look differently at life, and if it was not for the staff I would be lost. I’m looking forward to moving on with my life and can’t wait to see what happens next.

Kevin, 23
