At Carriview every child matters. We have built a therapeutic community for our children’s residential service where we strive to meet young people’s needs and ensure they have a positive experience living with us.

We have created a warm, homely, nurturing and safe environment in which our young people and staff develop and thrive. Through our support we encourage them to see the potential in themselves and to fulfil it regardless of any barriers they may have faced.

At Carriview our focus is on empowering young people to develop their social, emotional, and independence skills. We want to equip them with skills for the future, and to value their own resilience and wellbeing. We believe that all young people have the capacity to live fulfilling, productive lives and make positive contributions to our community.

Carriview is a therapeutic, reflective community the basis of our work comes from applying the elements of a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE).  The PIE framework is an approach that focuses on supporting young people to understand and overcome difficulties they have experienced and ensures we undertake and follow a holistic approach to their care and support.

We work within a relationship-based framework and this enables our home to always have the wellbeing of our young people at the heart of what we do. We are supported in our work by CELSIS who provide training and consultancy to the team.
