intandem is funded by the Scottish Government and delivered nationally by Inspiring Scotland. Ypeople are responsible for delivering the service in North Lanarkshire and Glasgow and, in November, achieved the Scottish Mentoring Network’s Quality Award.

The programme aims to match young people with trained volunteers supporting them to build positive, trusting, supportive and secure relationships. To be most effective, the mentoring relationships will be long term, frequent and regular and take a holistic approach.

intandem provides mentors for young people aged 8-14 years of age who are looked after by their local authority and living at home. We know how crucial it is for all young people to have at least one long term relationship with a positive adult role-model. Having that person on hand to offer support can really help a young person successfully make the transition through childhood and adolescence and on into adulthood.

YPeople is looking for Volunteer Mentors to become part of intandem. As a role model you will work with the young person on a one to one basis to build relationship, undertake fun activities and set goals to support them to reach their full potential.

If you are 18+
