About the role

The Broomhouse team support people through their experience
of homelessness, enable them to find permanent accommodation and
help them find the confidence in themselves to live independently.

We are now recruiting for a Support Worker to complement the existing team.

  • You are qualified to SVQ level 3 H&SC or SCQF equivalent (or are willing to work towards)
  • You have knowledge of issues surrounding homelessness

What you will be doing

  • Arranging and facilitating key work meeting to develop and review support plans in collaboration with thepeople we support to meet their individual needs both within the service and out with
  • Developing life skills with those we support, including how to maximise income, involvement in meaningful activities, budgeting, shopping, cooking and any other skills that aid to independence
  • Assisting the people we support with engaging and integrating into the local community and helping them to become active citizens.
  • Signposting the people we support to other relevant services when required.

Working an average of 39 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota system to ensure 24-hour service provision and provide adequate level of support to the services.
