Working hours: an average of 31.5 waking hours + 15.75 sleep-in hours per week

Salary: SCP 19-22 (£20,265 - £21,936 per annum) pro rata + a sleep-in payment of £7584 per annum
Pro rata 31.5 waking hours + 1.75 sleep-ins (£18,213 - £19,986 per annum) + a sleep-in payment of £7584 per annum

About the role

Highland Aftercare provides 24-hour supported accommodation and reach out support to young people aged 16-26 who have previous experience of living in a care setting.

The service helps to end homelessness through providing a high-quality supported accommodation service for homeless individuals transitioning from temporary to permanent or other suitable long-term accommodation.

  • You are qualified to SVQ level 3 H&SC or SCQF equivalent (or are willing to work towards)
  • You have gained or have a willingness to undertake, additional management training in line with the role and SSSC requirements
  • You have experience of working with vulnerable people relevant to this service area

What you will be doing

  • Arranging and facilitating regular support and supervision sessions with your team members, utilising best practice in performance management to ensure staff are supported to undertake their roles.
  • Completing yearly appraisals and personal development plans with your staff team.
  • Investigate and resolve any complaints made by the people we support.
  • Ensuring a safe environment for those we support, our employees, and others, including a high standard of accommodation is provided.

Working an average of 31.5 waking hours and 1.75 sleep-ins per week on a rota basis
