Working hours: An average of 31.5 waking hours + 1.75 sleep-ins per week

Salary: SCP 23-26 (£22,550 - £24,745) pro rata plus a sleep in payment of £7584 per annum.
(Pro Rata: 31.5 waking hours + 1.75 sleep-in - £18,213 - £19,986 plus £7,584 per annum sleep-in payment)

About the role

To help provide a high-quality support service for care-experienced young people transitioning into permanent or other suitable long-term accommodation across the Inverness and Dingwall areas.

The Senior Support Worker will line manage staff to enable them to provide a high-quality, community-based outreach housing support service to adults (age 16+) who are living in their own or temporary (including bed and breakfast) accommodation in the Highland Council area.

What you will be doing

  • Developing participation with those we support within the service.
  • Arranging and facilitating regular support and supervision sessions with your team members, utilising best practice in performance management to ensure staff are supported to undertake their roles.
  • Completing yearly appraisals and personal development plans with your staff team.
  • Ensuring a safe environment for those we support, colleagues and others including a high standard of accommodation is provided.
  • Working an average of 31.5 waking hours and 1.75 sleep-ins per week
