The Highland Aftercare service provides 24-hour supported accommodation and reach out support to young people aged 16-26 who have previous experience of living in a care setting.
The aim of the service is to support young people transitioning from residential care to enable them to successfully live independently in their own permanent tenancies. Each has their own key worker and is offered support to help develop independent living skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, laundry and tenancy management. Additional support is provided in areas such as mental and physical health and wellbeing, employability, training and education and developing positive relationships.
