The Rent Deposit Service is part of the South Lanarkshire Council Homelessness Strategy. Our aim is to provide a sustainable housing solution within the private rented sector for households affected by homelessness and to promote independent living and community participation.
We operate in conjunction with South Lanarkshire Council to help people overcome the financial barriers to accessing accommodation in the private rented sector through the provision of a Guarantee Deposit Bond.
Our team delivers a flexible, holistic and client centred approach to the service we deliver. All our work is confidential and delivered in a non-discriminatory way, offering dignity and respect to each person. The Rent Deposit Service works with everyone from families, single parents, single people of all ages, and couples.
We are proud to say the 90% of those we work with have stayed within their tenancy.
