Christmas Kindness Across Ypeople

24th December 2019

Every year at Christmas we are lucky enough to see the kindness of our neighbours and supporters first hand. We get support and encouragement for our work throughout the year, but never is this more apparent than at Christmas. Gifts and donations come to us from generous friends across Scotland and we know how important it is to say thank you.

First off, we would like to say a big thank you to Cash For Kids who donated all these gifts to our Highland services. Here are Rob, and Susan helping to deliver the gifts.

Our South Lanarkshire Rent Deposit had an extra special visitor last week! Everyone had a brilliant day, and were delighted with their gifts. Huge thanks to Martin and Donna for hosting our guest on the day

Over to Pathways now who did a wonderful job of making things look festive, especially on Christmas Jumper Day.

An extra special thank you to Iconic Gents Hair in East Kilbride for not only donating free haircuts for service users but also bringing in pizza and treats for everyone to enjoy. They made everyone’s day.

Branston Court also received many donations from Glasgow companies who all gave very generous gifts for the young people we support this Christmas. We’ve also had many neighbours pop in with bags of gifts, your support is always appreciated but especially at this time of year. Thank you!

Our friends at BDP give generously every year and 2019 has been no exception. They filled a van full of gifts for our intandem mentees. Their kindness has changed Christmas for young people across the city. Here’s Laura with her team of helpers to collect the gifts.

These are just a few of the highlights from our festive season. Every year we are blown away by the generosity of our supporters, there aren’t words to say how much it means to all our staff and those we support. We know all to well that this time of year is hard for many people, but the kindness that you show really can make a difference.

Wishing you all a warm and happy holiday.
